Foreigners purchase 18% of all property sales in Murcia
The attractions on the Costa Cálida continue to interest non-Spanish purchasers
Despite the decimation of international travel since the onset of coronavirus from early in 2020 the residential property market of the Region of Murcia has continued to attract big numbers of non-Spanish buyers, with foreign purchasers accounting for 18.1% of all transactions made during the first three months of this year.
The figures published by Spain’s property registrars also report in Murcia only 17.4% of the homes purchased between January and March were new builds.
Throughout Spain the most numerous foreign buyers are from British origin accounting for 12.1% of non-Spaniards buying property , followed by those from Morocco (8.7%), France (8.2%), Germany (7.1%), Belgium (6.5%) and Romania (5.9%)
